DERELICT UTILIZATION OF SUSTAINABLE TRANSFORMATION, also known as D.U.S.T., embodies the destructive manipulation within the act of creation. The structures of being are dismantled and ground into a powdered form of ruination, for the sole purpose of being resurrected once more. D.U.S.T. is the original element. The first matter of existence. D.U.S.T. is the last element. The cause and effect of destruction. D.U.S.T. is the loop of materiality.
Drawing on references from pop culture, conspiracy theory, mythology/theology and escapism, Kornelia Remø Klokk question the concept of reality and truth, through creating environments where comfort and familiarity appeals to the viewer and lures them into a realm of the unknown, where the visual consumer goes through endless levels of meaning and meaninglessness on a quest for totality.
Her main project is The Golden Realm: a parallel dimension which revolves around the true essence and vitality of the precious metal GOLD in all its forms: metaphysical, metaphorical, symbolic and materialistic.
